Ancient World Studies Microcredential

The Ancient World Studies microcredential provides individuals with skills and knowledge necessary to understand and critically evaluate ancient cultures around the world, including the interpretation of primary written sources, artistic works, and archaeological materials. The microcredential is designed to provide students with a diversity of experience in disciplinary approaches to the ancient human past across archaeology, art history, and history.

Individuals who complete the microcredential may apply the coursework towards electives in the Geography, History, or Art major or minor; the Anthropology or Art History minor; or towards an Integrated Studies major.

Choose 3 credit hours (one course) from each department for a total of 9 credit hours. A grade of "C" or higher is required for each course. Special Topics courses and Advanced Seminars may be applied with permission depending on the subject matter offered in a given semester.
