Integrated Studies (Bachelor of Arts)

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Studies is a multidisciplinary approach that allows students to chart a program of study that combines courses from different but related subjects that are applicable to their career goals.

A Bachelor of Arts with a major in Integrated Studies requires a total of 120 semester hours, composed of required Jax MIX Courses, Integrated Studies Support Courses, and Integrated Studies Major Courses.

The 41 required hours of Jax MIX coursework cannot be used to meet any other Integrated Studies requirements.

Students must also successfully complete SSC 101 First Year Experience (0).

Required Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science (AHSS) Coursework:

  • Students must complete a total of 40 hours of AHSS coursework beyond the Jax MIX General Education Curriculum.
  • At least 21 hours of the 300- or 400- level Integrated Studies Major Courses with a C or better must be AHSS.
  • CS 201 Introduction to Information Technology (3) is a recommended AHSS course.
