The Department of Kinesiology encompasses a wide range of disciplines that converge to study, promote, and optimize human movement and its effects on health, performance, and quality of life. We promote wellness and professional growth through dynamic student programs that embrace leadership opportunities, active learning, innovative technology, and research. The Department of Kinesiology offers four undergraduate degrees:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Wellness
- Bachelor of Public Health in Public Health
- Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and Recreation Studies
- Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Health and Physical Education
Students majoring in Exercise Science and Wellness must choose a concentration in Clinical, Human Performance, or Nutrition Science. Students majoring in Sport Management and Recreation Studies must choose a concentration in either Sport Management or Recreational Leadership. A Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Health and Physical Education is available with a choice of concentration in Health and Physical Education that leads to Teacher Certification (P-12) or a Physical Activity Studies concentration for students not seeking a professional certification to teach.
