The Department of Career and Technical Education and Professional Studies (CTEPS) prepares students for impactful careers in education, industry, and human-centered professions. The department provides secondary education (grades 6–12) programs in Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Business Marketing Education, developing knowledgeable, workforce-ready educators grounded in both theory and applied practice. CTEPS also offers professional studies programs in Child Development, Fashion Merchandising, Hospitality and Culinary Management, and Human Sciences, emphasizing experiential learning, leadership, and industry engagement. In support of interdisciplinary learning and career exploration, the department further offers a range of complementary minors aligned with these professional fields, allowing students across the university to enhance their academic preparation and career flexibility.
